Vilkår for bilutleie

These terms apply to car rental from Costavia Property SL (CIF B27587591), C. Ulises 1, 03188 Torrevieja, Alicante, Spain.

1. Driver requirements

  • The driver must be at least 25 years old.
  • The driver must have held a valid licence for at least 2 years.
  • We accept licences from the EU, the UK, the USA or equivalent. The licence must be valid for the whole rental period.
  • The driver must present a valid licence and ID at pick-up. We may keep a copy of the licence, see our privacy notice.
  • Only persons registered as driver or additional driver in the agreement may drive the car.

2. Rental period

  • Minimum rental is 1 day (24 hours).
  • The rental starts and ends at the times stated in the agreement.
  • To extend the rental, contact us in good time. Extension depends on availability.

3. Prices and payment

  • The price agreed at booking is the price you pay. We have no hidden fees.
  • Payment by cash, Vipps or card at our office.
  • All prices are in euro (EUR).

4. Deposit

We require no deposit and do not block any amount on your credit card.

5. Mileage

Unlimited mileage is included.

6. Pick-up locations and airport surcharge

  • Our office in Torrevieja (C. Ulises 1) – no surcharge.
  • Ciudad Quesada – no surcharge.
  • Alicante airport – surcharge of EUR 40, or EUR 65 for pick-up between 23:30 and 07:00.

The airport surcharge is always shown before booking and included in the total price quoted.

7. Extras

  • Child seat: EUR 15 per rental. Under Spanish traffic rules, children under 135 cm must use approved child restraints.

8. Fuel

  • The car is delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank.
  • If returned with less than a full tank, we charge a service fee of EUR 15 in addition to the cost of the fuel.

9. Insurance

  • All our cars carry valid Spanish insurance.
  • Cover and excess are stated in the rental agreement for each car.
  • Insurance is void in cases of gross negligence, driving under the influence, driving off public roads, or if the car is driven by a person not registered in the agreement.

10. Use of the car

The car must not:

  • be used for competitions, driver training or towing
  • be driven by persons not registered in the agreement
  • be used to transport people or goods for payment
  • be driven outside Spain without our written consent
  • be driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication affecting driving ability
  • be overloaded or used contrary to Spanish law

11. Damage, accident or theft

  • Contact Costavia immediately on +47 22 600 600.
  • In case of collision, damage or theft, notify the police and file a report.
  • The driver must not admit liability on behalf of Costavia.
  • Unreported damage may not be covered by insurance.

12. Condition and documentation

  • The car is delivered in good, roadworthy condition with valid ITV and insurance.
  • Condition and fuel level are documented with photos at pick-up and return.
  • Damage not documented at pick-up is considered to have occurred during the rental.

13. Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the agreed pick-up.

14. Fines and charges

The driver is responsible for parking fines, speeding fines and other charges incurred during the rental.

15. Privacy

We process your personal data in line with our privacy notice at costavia.es/personvern.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are settled amicably where possible, otherwise by the courts of Alicante.
